 The Use Previous feature was primarily designed to carry over the Accounting Codes and distribution percentages used in the “last saved” invoice from the same Vendor Account.

Distribution Property Filtering by individual user

The 2008.4 release introduced a new permission called All Properties Available For Coding. This permission provides the ability to filter what property codes a user has access to on the distribution lines of an invoice, based on the users own Property Associations in their profile. This permission is found in the Portal Admins “Manage Permissions/Tasks” list.

Customer provided Firefox script

As a result of the 2008.3 upgrade the compatibility of Mozilla, Firefox with AvidInvoice was further limited. While working in this browser was never ideal, users were able to approve invoices and do other basic tasks.

With the newest release those users that were using Firefox will find that invoices can no longer be approved from within the Invoice Header view. Using buttons for Save, Approve, Dispute or Void results in no action being taken. Read the rest of this entry »

Managing Tabs

Using the Global Password Reset

From time to time, administrators may need to expire all user passwords.  This is often required to protect the application from a former employee who may have access to the applications under a variety of usernames.  This feature makes it easy for the administrator to reset all user passwords at once.

Using Automatic Password Expiration

Many organizations, especially publicly-held corporations, have rigorous security policies designed to protect vital records and data that include a best-practice of forcing users to change their passwords to applications on a regular basis.  This new AvidXchange feature - Automatic Password Expiration - grants the administrator the rights to force users to change their passwords according to a periodic frequency established by the administrator.
